JD Tynan was born in Portland, OR and still resides in the Pacific Northwest. She's a member of the Romance Writers of America, Mystery Writers of America, Sisters in Crime and Willamette Writers. She's also the PTA president at her children's school.

Jill 9 is her first published mystery. Her second novel comes out in May 2007; an action mystery titled Charlie Ford Meets Secret Agent Man.
