Jerry Pollock is currently Professor Emeritus in the Oral Biology and Pathology Department at the State University of New York at Stony Brook on Long Island. Historically, Jerry was born in Toronto, but never knew what it meant to be spiritual until he was 57. He is 67 now. His childhood, teenage, and young adult years were emotionally ravaged in an unloving, non-nurturing parental environment and at age 50 he was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder.

Despite an unyielding anxiety and a neurotic repression of feelings, Jerry succeeded in Academics with a B. Sc. and M. Sc. in Pharmacy. The beginnings of his interest in scientific research and a Canadian scholarship to study abroad caused him to leave Toronto in 1966 for Israel. He completed his Ph.D. in Biophysics in 1969 at the Weizmann Institute of Science and then spent four years in the Microbiology Department at New York University Medical Center. He has written two spiritual books and has merged his science with his spirituality.

Synopsis: "Divinely Inspired" is one man s story to lift himself out of the despair of Bipolar Disorder, near suicide, migraines, anxiety, neurotic behavior, and scientific cheating to emerge on a path to God. Jerry Pollock s transformation from a damaged and ravaged soul to merging into God s Light, as outlined in Divinely Inspired: Spiritual Awakening of a Soul, is seen through unusual miracles of Divine intervention that initiated the author s spiritual journey.

Jerry's climbing of the spiritual ladder is a very gradual and personal process as he tries to improve his flawed character. He comes to realize that God is the master scientist responsible for both Evolution and Creation. As his story unfolds, readers are inadvertently empowered to embark on their own spiritual journey, as best as they can, by adhering to the Creator s original self-help plan, The Ten Commandments.
