Michael Holloway Perronne was born and grew up in Mississippi.  He received a BA in Film from the University of Southern Mississippi and an MFA in Screenwriting from the University of New Orleans.  During college, he was very busy with local gay activism.  He held the offices of Treasurer, Vice-President, and President for the gay student alliance at USM, and also served a term as Treasurer for the Mississippi Gay and Lesbian Task Force.

For a few years he worked as a production assistant in television and film, in both New Orleans and Los Angeles, on such projects as the television series The Big Easy and the television movies Rag and Bone, Blue Moon, and Introducing Dorothy Dandridge.  Following that, he worked for two years as the Conference Services Coordinator for the National Association of Television Program Executives.  He has also done script reading and analysis for the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival and the Los Angeles Film Collaborative.  A screenplay he co-wrote with his friend, Gina Bono, Millennium Babes From Mars, was optioned by an independent production company.

Michael currently lives in Southern California where he is employed as an adult education instructor and is hard at work on his next novel.  Michael has authored three novels:  A Time Before Me, Starstruck: A Hollywood Saga, and Falling Into Me.

Synopsis: Beautifully written coming-of-age story, set primarily in New Orleans. High school graduate leaves rural Mississippi to life with his aunt in New Orleans.  There, he meets another sweet 19-year-old boy and faces the choices confronting his first real love.
