Angelina Laycock holds both a baccalaureate and masters degree and has completed additional graduate work beyond the master's level. Her professional career includes many years in higher education. She has consulted, published and presented regionally and nationally on topics of career development, experiential education, parenting, family relocation, and work/life topics. Currently, she consults for the U.S. Department of Labor Women's Bureau for their Flex-Options national project.

Ms. Laycock developed and directed the Washtenaw Work/Life Consortium, a community-based effort to create family-friedly work environments primarily among small and mid-size organizations. She has also worked with national organizations, such as Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Domino's Pizza and Border's Book Group.

She provides consulting on work/life issues and family relocation and publishes in the field. Her current publications are "Strategies for Reshaping the Workplace" and "Pulling Up Stakes: A Relocation Guide For Families." She publishes a monthly column of work/life issues in Business Review and has an article in the winter issue of WorldatWork Journal. Recent conference presentations were at the American Business Women's Association in August 2006 and the international WorldatWork Conference in May 2006.
