Lynda Fitzgerald has been writing all her life. She studied creative writing at both Georgia Perimeter College, where she was the winner of a Creative Writing Scholarship, and at Emory University. When she isn't writing, she can usually be found curled up with a book written by one of her many favorite authors. "I've always been a reader. I can't remember a time when I didn't read, and I can't imagine life without books. Many years ago, I read “Fahrenheit 451” (Ray Bradberry) with horror. Burn all books? Hideous thought. Life would be so much less exciting if we couldn't count books as friends."

Lynda’s debut novel, If Truth Be Told, was released by Five Star (Thompson-Gale) in June, 2007. Set in Melbourne Beach, Florida, If Truth Be Told has elements of romance and suspense while it explores the value of truth as opposed to compassion and family loyalty. Her second book, Of Words & Music, which is set in Atlanta, Georgia, was released in March 2009, and her third, the first in a mystery series, is scheduled for publication in March 2010. For the LIVE series, she "or her characters" head back to Melbourne Beach, Florida.

Although she was born in Florida, Lynda now resides in Snellville, a suburb east of Atlanta, close to her two children and 4 grandchildren. Though she now lives miles from any ocean, her heart and soul remain firmly planted at the seashore.

Synopsis: The LIVE mystery series features reluctant investigative reporter, Allie Grainger, her cowardly Lhasa Apso, Spook, and her childhood friends, all cops determined to save Allie from herself. Mix in the ghost of her aunt, who whispers bits of wisdom and the occasional warning in Allie's ear, and the reader is in for fast-paced excitement.

LIVE Ringer begins when Allie inherits her aunt's beach house in Cape Canaveral, Florida. All she wants to do is mourn her aunt's passing and her recent divorce, but before twenty-four hours elapses, she finds herself knee-deep in salt water and murder.
