D.C. Elmore grew up in a small farming community in Indiana. Her childhood home was nestled beside a cornfield where she and her younger brother spent summer afternoons playing cops and robbers and enjoying other outdoor activities.

Their mother, Pam, taught both D.C. and her brother to believe in themselves and never settle for a scripted life. D.C. pursued and achieved her dream of becoming a successful writer. She continues to be blessed with a plethora of experiences that enhance her life and her writing. Her brother, Glenn, is proudly serving the country in the United States Navy. He and his wife have a daughter named Lilly.

D.C. currently resides in beautiful San Diego, California with her partner and their two sons, Radius the one-eyed Chihuahua and Dante the unassuming cat with a whole lot of attitude, whom were both rescued from shelters.

Synopsis: The past year, filled with an overwhelming number of heartwrenching events, has hurled Sierra into a seemingly endless spell of writer's block. To make matters worse, she has completely lost her faith in finding true love. She has resigned herself to the belief that happy endings happen only in works of fiction―until Asha Amin, a dashingly beautiful and mysterious woman, enters her life.

As the icicles around her heart begin to melt, Sierra knows she has to confront the demons of her past and come to terms with her feelings for Asha. While Sierra works on overcoming the tragedies of her past, a woman from Asha's tries desperately to keep the two of them apart. Will Sierra and Asha allow their blossoming relationship to be buried beneath an avalanche of prior betrayals? Will each realize in time that her soul's companion is the other? Or will they lose each other forever due to senseless pride? It all hangs in the balance as Sierra and Asha decide whether a season of change is worth a lifetime of possibility.
