Jack Eadon is an author who has taken his varied work and life  experiences and parlayed them into seven books. While still in high school, he began a decade long career in rock music with a band called Khazed Doom, writing many of the songs with a moralistic drama theme, which continues to show up in his novels.

He entered the corporate world with his MBA in 1974 where he worked until 1983 when he opened a business in southern California.  Now, after having lived in Illinois, Texas, California, and Kansas, Jack resides back in southern California with his executive wife and Caspur the cat.  His close friends and a network of email buddies provide an additional support system.

When Marcus Ramsay left his strange experience in Texas, his marriage was nearly on the rocks. He and his wife moved to California for her new job and his new career as an advertising photographer and owner of a large studio.

At the outset of Latent Image, Marcus is surprised when his wife Kathy says she wants a divorce. Marcus is encouraged by his new studio neighbor to risk it all and parlay his new lighting style into a burgeoning business. But unknown to Marcus, photographers envious of his new lighting techniques, are already scheming to undermine his new venture.

Within a few days, he simultaneously has his studio vandalized and meets hand model Jesse Dasher, who is obviously quite enamored of him. In fact, she soon invites him to her place where they have a romantic nighttime swim in her apartment pool. Marcus cuts the episode short, however, when memories of his former marriage return. Jesse encourages him to visit her twin sister Suzanne, who is a Park Ranger at the Grand Canyon, to heal his wounds loss of job, loss of spouse. Jesse tells Marcus that Suzanne is quite into the Hopi tradition and can help him assuage his feeling of loss.

After his studio is severely damaged by the underhanded cadre of photographers, Marcus visits the Grand Canyon, meets Suzanne, and, after four days of love and healing exploration, returns to his studio, in love with Suzanne and wondering how to now react to Jesse. But, he gets a surprise when he soon hears of Jesse s suicide. Only then does he call the Grand Canyon and find out a major surprise about Jesse, Suzanne, and their reality. He returns to the Grand Canyon to re-enact the healing exploration he had with Suzanne, except this time he is alone.
