Sandra Levy Ceren

Sandra L. Ceren, Ph.D. a native New Yorker living on the California coast is a practicing clinical psychologist  for nearly half a century,  a Diplomate from the American Board of Family Psychology, and Fellow of the Academy of Family Psychology. 

She has appeared on Oprah, Good Morning America and BBC.

Ceren has reported on mental health research and answered queries in a weekly health column "Ask Dr. Ceren".  This popular column was published in newspapers over many years. 

A premarital counseling specialist, her books "Essentials of Prmarital Counseling", addressed to mental health professionals, and "Look Before You Leap: A Premarital Guide for Couples" were published by Loving Healing Press.

Ceren has a passion for writing fiction.  "Prescription for Terror", the first in her Dr Cory Cohen mystery series featuring a psychologist/sleuth was published in 1999, the second,"Stolen Secrets" was published recently and will be followed by "Imposter for Hire" in late 2011.

A strait-laced patient in San Diego running for District Attorney is threatened by a midnight phone caller who knows her dirty secret--her fantasy of living as a prostitute--a secret she shared only with Dr. Cory Cohen. After confronting her therapist, she vanishes.

As Cory wrestles with her patient's disappearance, the security breach and the potential harmful effects on other patients, events escalate. A patient is blackmailed. Cory is stalked, and her quarters burgled, forcing her to escape an unseen enemy and sending her on a spiraling trail of deceit, betrayal, blackmail and murder.
